How do I make an online payment?

  1. Log in to My ServiceOttawa.
  2. Ensure that you have registered your water and sewer account inside My ServiceOttawa. (How do I register a water and sewer bill to My ServiceOttawa account?(link is external))
  3. Select View water account.
  4. Click on Pay Bills in the menu on the left.
  5. Click on the Pay Bills button, this will re-route you to the Paymentus website.
  6. Once Paymentus site has launched, select the appropriate account by clicking in the box beside it.
  7. Click continue.
  8. Enter payment amount.
  9. Add new payment method:
    • Select between credit/debit and enter card information: card number, CVV, expiration date and cardholder name.
    • Choose whether to save payment method or not.

OR choose from existing payment method(s) and click continue.

  1. Read terms and conditions and then click in box to accept them.
  2. Click Pay $XX.XX (includes service charge) button.

Note: A confirmation screen with a reference number will confirm the online payment card payment is submitted. Client will also receive an email receipt which will include the service fee from the third-party provider, Paymentus Corporation.

 Client can:

  • Print the page.
  • Close the window and return to My ServiceOttawa.

How will the payment be displayed on my credit card or Visa Debit?

Your statement will have two entries. One will be for the payment to the City of Ottawa and the other will be your service fee payment to Paymentus Corporation.
